Why visit our farm stand?
- In the farming business there are always shortages and surpluses. So, when we have extra plants or produce we like to pass these on to our loyal farm stand customers. When you make a purchase from the farm stand you are invited to take home some of these extra goodies (which are labeled and placed in front of the stand) home with you. Enjoy! Everyone loves quality and a great deal....
- We are located next to beautiful parks and attractions; Witty's Lagoon Regional Park, Devonian Regional Park and the ever-popular My-Chosen Cafe. Take a walk in the parks, eat a hearty meal at the Cafe, then pick up your plants from the farm stand on your way home.
- Supporting local organic agriculture is good for us all. The income stays in the community, the food you grow from these plants increases our food security (we import a staggering 97% of our food on Vancouver Island!), and organic farms increase biodiversity and the health of our land.
Metchosin farm offers high quality,organic plant starters by order for commercial nurseries. We also offer home gardeners plant starts and occasionally delicious produce and free range eggs at our farm stand during our spring and fall opening season.
